Board Meeting
To the Ruby Ranch Community -
Attached below are the agenda and entire board package for the WBMD April 17 Meeting. Our first quarter 2026 has been busy. Among other things, the meeting will cover:
- Finding and resolving our water leak – EJ will give an update at the meeting.
- Our excavator arrived and already in use.
- We will have four horses boarding at the ranch this summer, together with planned visits by the USFS llamas and perhaps one of their mule teams.
- We continue to work on bringing our ditch measuring system in line with new state regulations.
- Our work on well #3 continues to advance
- Blake and EJ have found our new ranch manager, and he will be introduced to the board and the community at the meeting
- Updates on our FEMA/Emergency Management Status, Wildfire Ready Watershed Projects, and the latest from the Fire Adaptive Colorado meetings held in Ft. Collins in early April meeting.
Remember to give Jim the space he needs to when he is working on our roads. You are likely to see him cleaning out culverts, improving drainage, and dealing with wash-boarding on the roads now that the weather is warm and dry. You will also see him out working on meadows and, as soon as permitted, irrigating.
We encourage everyone to conserve water where they can. Please know that the district will be enforcing its restrictions on outdoor watering and swimming pools this summer. We will also continue to discuss whether there are other needed changes to our water regulations.
